CASE STUDY 2.0
Case Study 2.0 is a community design movement that has been conceived by Crest Real Estate and a distinguished assembly of 50 local and global architects — the industry’s most talented and creative minds coming together for a city close to their hearts in order to deliver an aspirational aesthetic for the neighborhood.
Their involvement, driven by pride in this place and its communities, is what makes Case Study 2.0 possible.
The House aims to have a soft, offbeat view on the traditional idea of home seen as a collection of identified spaces covering functions. The idea of a flexibility that comes with the possibility to adapt a place to one’s way of life now but also further down the road.
The modular system offers customization of the different spaces within the modular frame of the building.
Light and air flow throughout the spaces, only framed by windows and shades, leading the views to bleed from indoor to outdoor, creating depth and rhythm.
Each one of the seven rooms can be defined and adjusted to support different functions and answer the owner’s needs and desires.
The central circulation is attached to a patio, creating a private outdoor space be-tween
rooms, opened to the sky, inviting breeze and sun.
The limited number of materials and finishes aims to offer a contemporary, minimalist environment, expressing sustainability and connections to its environment.
This project for the Palisades aims to offer a fresh view on house design, a new plasticity through a composition based on an elegant standardized platform, with flexibility across finishes and customization.
